Anyone can join this role-play, but only contestants can participate in the contest itself. The only thing that I ask is to keep all of the role-playing in the same general area. In other words, if you wander too far away from the contest grounds, then that would be the equivalent of leaving the role-play. I don't mind if you're off to the side and not directly within the vicinity just so long as you keep within "viewing distance" of the events.
If you are a spectator (You did not sign up to be a contestant and are simply observing the event), then you must put the following tag in bold and brackets at the beginning of all of your posts: [SPECTATOR]. Otherwise, if you are a contestant, then use this other tag in the same manner: [CONTESTANT]. This is to make things easier for everyone, including the judge, of who will be hosting the event.
The role-play begins some time before the contest itself takes place, so feel free to interact with each other at will regardless of whether you are a spectator or a contestant. The actual contest will be initiated and hosted by the judge, and this is when the contestants will take their place to begin the event.
This role-play is directly relevant to all role-plays labeled with “Shiya Gala” and branded “Official“ by RabidFox. That means that they all tie into each other, and are all taking place within the same general timeframe.
((Note that Deila is an NPC and not a character that can be interacted with in this role-play. The above is merely a brief description of what this area looks like. For a description of the gala as a whole, read the first post of this thread: The Shiya Gala: General))Madame wrote:Turning to the left where two targets had been set up along with a raised platform literally an arrow’s flight away, Delia said, “That’s where the archery will be going on. If you’ll notice we set it up on the leeward side of the hill to try to cut down on the crosswinds the contestants will be fighting. I don’t envy whatever fellow we wrangled into judging for that as he’s like at not to get shot if he’s standing anywhere save behind the archers when they’re shooting.”
