A Broken Riddle and Broken Soil

Post by dragon51117 » Thu Feb 17, 2011 5:47 pm

Shaded by night, Ryn wears the hiss of a candle as the cold wind blows it out near him. Closing the door behind him, he pulls a small rock from his cloak and puts a black streak on the frame. He walks down the street, a small flurry beginning, further masking his traveling. Mumbling under his breath, every candle or torch near hissed to darkness, making the entire area a solid black. Now lifting up his hands, he pulls a small tablet from his cloak and a large nail.

He walks up to the central square, where a few people were just now going indoors. He looked around and then lifted up the tablet against the center statue and hit the tablet with all his force with the nail. The nail punctured and he punched it a few more times, making sure it stays. For extra precaution, he lifted his hand up one more time and mumbled a few more words, and the tablet froze in place. Turning on his heel, he walked back to his home, masked by darkness.

Villagers wake up in the morning to see the tablet on their statue and read:

"Many travelers seek,
with their bodies cold and meek,
a shining dirt and indestructible rock,
and they turn to others and mock.

Little do they know,
What has not been shown,
waits for special searchers,
and is shovels away from buriers.

Answer this riddle,
and from the middle,
turn around on cobble
and walk until you see charcoal.

You will begin your adventure,
and do remember,
this is for you and me,
and maybe another three."

OOC:(Whenever you figure out the riddle in the first verse, not the second one, figure out where to go and contact me, Ryn)...(And it rhymes good enough)

Scratch that, I'll do it bareback.
