Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

((That's flipping genius. So I guess Erin will meet Maker at the library tomorrow?))

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

"Shadow writing? That's an excellent idea! I never thought of that," she said slowly, her head already concocting a male pen name... Then Erin looked over her shoulder at the drawing her new-found friend, or at least acquaintance, had drawn. It was almost frighteningly realistic now, but she didn't ...

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

"Yeah, I know what you mean." The cat nodded in understanding. "I really like drawing too, but it's actually not my favorite way to use my creativity. I prefer writing, for all the reasons you like drawing. If women were allowed to publish and sell their books, I'd become an author." Erin thought ab...

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

"Ah. Doodling in the school texts? That's hardly a good idea." Erin grinned. "I tend to restrict my drawings to homework, drawing paper, and anything my pencil happens to be pressed to at the moment, but I wouldn't draw in a book because I actually really like reading. Though I haven't read this one...

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

"Okay, Maker." Erin was a little bit disappointed when the other stopped his speech about art. She may not have been a great artist, but she did like practicing and found the topic fascinating. The young girl also noted the hint of discomfort in his introduction. Probably an introvert, not many clos...

"Wow," Erin said, quite impressed. "Only water? You'd think fire would hurt too... Like I said, it's still amazing. But you didn't tell me your name." Erin blinked at him curiously. Shifting her weight, she waited for an answer from the short-haired lion.

Re: How to write a girl when you're a guy. [Lit]

As a girl, this was pretty good! It helped get rid of a bunch of annoying stereotypes and stuff.
Now if only somebody'd teach us girls how to play guys... I think I'll try it!! :D

Re: Paying gold commissions. lol

Okay! I think I'd like to draw Elise. Even if I'm not getting paid for it, thank you for letting me "borrow" your character for drawing practice!

Re: Character Drawing Request

No problem! Um... but would that just be a regular old utility belt or, like, Batman's or something similarly cool? And Venomari has a naga build like Orochi, right?

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

Erin was so busy touching and playing with the copy of herself she almost didn't hear his answer. But when she did, the girl responded, "Well, maybe it's like a manifestation of magic in your blood or something. If your ancestors had any sort of powers that could trigger it." She wanted to continue ...

No catch whatsoever! Originally, it was requests in exchange for forum gold, but then I discovered they got rid of the system nine months ago. Wow. Yeah, no catch. Honest-to-goodness free requests, if you want.

Re: Dying is easy. Art is difficult. (open to all)

"How do you do that?" the five-foot adolescent asked eagerly. She reached out a hand to touch the live drawing, not sure how the copy of herself would react. It did seem to be conscious and intelligent, after all. For a doodle, even one that came to life, it was extraordinarily realistic. The experi...
