Earthbound Beginnings

Post by RabidFox » Sat Jul 11, 2015 9:31 pm

I just found this out today, but the original Earthbound for the NES was released last month on the Wii U Virtual Console service as "Earthbound Beginnings". Otherwise known as "Mother" or "Earthbound Zero". I was really shocked when I saw it. I never thought that Nintendo would get around to releasing Mother or Mother 3. Now I have not heard of any plans to localize Mother 3, but at least I can play Mother in the meantime. I really hope that they release Mother 3 in English. However, Nintendo has been notorious for neglecting the series for so long. It's kinda hard to keep my hopes up. At least I have all of the Mother games in Japanese and two of the games in English.

I feel bad for the Earthbound fanbase for having not gotten the games in English for this long. Granted, I'm sure most play the fan translations, but it's nice to be acknowledged, I'm sure. It's great they're putting something out there now.
Still need to play this series...
