[no problem at all.]

"Ah," Maker said, his hands actually working on the artwork more. "You see, in order for me to be social is to be drawing. It calms me, lets me express, helps me focus, all with a creative reason."

"Yeah, I know what you mean." The cat nodded in understanding. "I really like drawing too, but it's actually not my favorite way to use my creativity. I prefer writing, for all the reasons you like drawing. If women were allowed to publish and sell their books, I'd become an author." Erin thought about all the poems, short stories, and novels she had written, all the characters she's thought up, all the plots she'd imagined. "I communicate better on paper than aloud, because even though both ways use words, it just seems like I have more time to think about what I'm expressing. A lot of times when I'm talking to someone, I'll say something without thinking and it gets me in trouble." She looked down at her paws embarassedly.

Maker looked thoughtful. "Ever thought of shadow writing? Taking a... pen name I think it is called." He glanced down at the piece of paper. "Perfect," he whispered, and it was. It was ultra-realistic, and showed incredible detail. Erin was shown exactly as she had been, looking through the book.

"Shadow writing? That's an excellent idea! I never thought of that," she said slowly, her head already concocting a male pen name... Then Erin looked over her shoulder at the drawing her new-found friend, or at least acquaintance, had drawn. It was almost frighteningly realistic now, but she didn't say anything. If I pay him too many compliments, I'll just end up sounding insincere and incredibly dull, she thought firmly.
Erin looked out one of the library's windows and located the sun. It was hanging very low in the sky, like an infant's toy suspended by a too-long thread. She wagered it must have been rather late in the afternoon, at least four o'clock, and if the two felines stayed in the building any longer, they'd probably end up locked in or kicked out. "Anyway, it's been very nice talking to you," she told Maker, "but I really must be going. Good-bye!"
She went to the abandoned table where all her things had been spilt, gathered them up, and left the building, dark tail swishing in her wake.

((I'm kind of at a loss as to what should happen next...))

((That's flipping genius. So I guess Erin will meet Maker at the library tomorrow?))

Sanguine nodded politely at the feline leaving the library as she walked in. She glanced around nervously, her ratty clothing stirring up dirt on the floor as she walked slowly down the numerous rows of books, trying to find something to spark her interest. Her caravan was selling supplies to the school, and she was granted permission to visit the library, as long as she didn't steal anything. She was thinking about checking out a couple books about elemental magic, something she had recently grown to be very curious about.
As she searched she walked past another cat, a panther to be exact. Cautiously she walked up to him, flicking her tail slightly. "Um, excuse me sir. Would you please tell me where I can find information on elemental magic? Preferably water." Her words flowed out of her mouth like a fish in a stream, though they sounded confident, she was really quite nervous.
