No Escape (Lancashire, Edwin) (Zombies) (CLOSED)

Some one-thousand years into the future, Feila is now ruled by pop-crazy teenagers, computer nerds, and gun-wielding gangsters. This period is most like our present day Earth, specifically the 2000's, with the Internet, MP3 players, and towering skyscrapers. All natives are furry (Skin Avian are present here too). No native humans.

No Escape (Lancashire, Edwin) (Zombies) (CLOSED)

Post by RabidFox »

In Lancashire, Edwin, near Lancaster, there was a small little town by the ocean. Everything in the town had always been so normal and peaceful and still. There was nothing in it to ever be afraid of. People held hands, left their doors unlocked, and everyone was on a first name basis. Doctors made house calls and even vets did too. There was no such thing as fear in this corner of the world.

It was a school day, a Tuesday. All the kids were getting ready to leave and then, in a couple hours, most parents would return from work. Then everyone would be home. They would talk and play and wait around for dinnertime. Families would share the night with each other and later the children would have to go to bed for school. Afterwards, the adults would stay up and watch horror films, a sign that it was getting closer and closer to Halloween.

But that day ended up being disturbed. Completely oblivious to their fate, people's minds were still perfectly at ease. No one was prepared for what was about to happen.

A strange group of doctors had visited the town that morning and one of them was still there. And he was not supposed to be. However, that was not something that anyone noticed. Even the doctors that had left without their companion felt that he had just wanted to stay behind a little longer. Any sense of warning had not been present.

Secretly, tucked away in the hospital—Not at all a weird place for a doctor—the man who had decided to remain was busy at some sort of task. He was very tall, a Red Fox, and had laughing, narrow eyes, eyes just as blue as the sky. He often wore a strange grin, an expression that dripped with mania, and his ears were slender and jagged. On his body, he wore a long, white coat, no different than what his companions had been wearing.

However, there was definitely something wrong here. The doctor had a special case with very special things in it, his black furred hand twisting a long, skinny bottle containing a mysterious yellow liquid. And then there was something about the look on his face. It was very unsettling.

Te-Ma was an odd sort of person born in exactly the year 2000 in march on Friday the 13th.

Maybe that's why he always came across a bad turn of luck. He was coming from Maze to stay in Lancashire with some family{or rather what he considered to be his family}. Sadly he didn't quite know of the events to soon unfold.

Te-Ma was born part fennec fox, part crow, and part dove. People often show him odd looks...
His left wing was milky white while the other pitch black. But despite them being from two different kinds of birds the work together well.

His fur was a cinnamon orange with a tuft of pure white on his tail and dark brown at the tip of his ears.
He often wore a great hoodie with a smiley on it.

He wasn't carrying much with him but a few energy bars, a bottle of water, and a luck charm.
He only knows some karate and boxing.{he thinks he's good at boxing but in reality he sucks.}

\\\ basic information: scale of 1-10 ///

Strength: 7 (he can move a very large stone. 90 pounds)

Agility: 9 (balance of a cat & stealth of a fox)

Speed: 7 ( can run a mile in 15 minutes.)

Intelligence: 7 ( a while above average)

Metabolism: [email protected]&$&#%@ (random... He will eat everything in your house or eat a crumb.)

Charisma: 10* or 7 (7 is when he isn't try harding. Variant 10 is in extreme situations. He will be as convincing as a hypnotist.)

Creativity/inventiveness: 9 ( I made a pistol with quarters, a rubber band and a bottle...)

Leadership: 4 (could be a leader if he wanted to bit is more of a follower.)

"Let's see here..." A yellow-furred fox whispered to himself. He was eyeing a small map that he had in his hands, on it, it not only had the various locations of the town, but a few sites of interests and important places, such as the hospital, highlighted with a marker, yet, a few places were missing. He was walking across the street, heading to a place where he's going to stay. He wasn't going to stay there for long, maybe for a day or two before moving on to the next city. Yet, something was bugging him...

His life was nothing less than complicated. Long-story short, he found himself a job as a mercenary and, due to that, had to travel around the glove a few times, get himself in dangerous situations of varying degrees, got himself a scar across his back, which, while wide enough to cover from a bit below his left shoulder diagonally down to his waist, was always covered by the black coat he uses to disguise himself. But, today was different. After finally getting a much-needed break from his dangerous job. Thankfully, his contract gave him not only a place to stay, but some money as well. A handful of, about one-thousand feilan dollars.

(OOC: I'm still new to this Forum and have yet to learn some stuff, so yeah. Until I find out what the money is called here on Feila, I'm simply gonna call them Feilan dollars, excuse my lack of knowledge for that.)

It was just what he needed for his vacation. Yet, there was one thing that he was missing. Where, exactly, what this place he was going to stay at. Now that he thinks about it..."Oh, crap!" He exclaimed as soon as the thought crossed his mind. The 30 year old fox went ahead and slammed his paw against his forehead in frustation. He was too excited about the news he forgot to ask that crucial detail! He shoved the map forcefully into his pocket as soon as he did so, frustrated by his mistake.

Unknown to him, a few other people were looking at him from his outburts. It was easy to notice that he was not from this place, as his clothing, which consisted of a long, black coat which went all the way down to his knees. A gray T-Shirt underneat it. Followed by black finger-less gloves and gray jeans and shoes that matches the color pallete. If there was one thing that he couldn't forget, was to be ready at all time. His three years of mercenary work teached him that, no matter where he is, anything can happen, and today wasn't going to be like any other work day.

Back to reality, his first day of vacation couldn't have started out worse. Not only he forgot where he was staying, but his cell-phone was out of charge as well. He forgot to turn it off during the trip to the town, and as such, it discharged during the ride. "...At least the plane was comfortable..." He whispered to himself once again, followed by a sigh of defeat.

Due to his stress, he forgot to notice where he was. Once that idea came to mind, he quickly lifted his face. Despite his thoughts and almost sleep-like walking, he didn't notice that he was still walking. And before he knew it, he had arrived at the cafeteria of the town. Just by looking through the window, it wasn't full, it only had about three or four people inside, what would be expected from a small town. At least it was empty enough for him to be attended quickly. Looking down to his pocket and slipping his hand inside, he searched inside of it for his money, the one he was given, after calculating how much a coffee costed just by looking at the price which was on the window, right by the left side of the double-door that lead inside the cafeteria. After doing the math and grabbing the money he needed, he stepped inside, unaware of what was about to happen that same day...

A few hours had passed. The hospital was dark and quiet.

"Hello?" Came a voice, the head of a young fox peeking from behind a corner. "Is anyone there?"

The man was twenty-one-years-old. He wore a green, button-down shirt and dusty brown trousers. His eyes were full of caution and fright, and his long legs were stiff as boards. Obviously, something had happened.

"Hello?" Said Brook again.

The halls were empty, all of the lights having been turned off. That or something had happened to the generator. Brook had no idea. He had been asleep in his bed and then woke up to the sounds of screams before falling straight back into a deep sleep. The morphine had made it impossible for him to react and when he had finally regained consciousness, no one was there. In fact, it appeared as if everyone in the hospital had just disappeared.

The nurses, the doctors, the aids, the janitors even... everyone was gone, except that Brook noticed there were still a few patients about, ones that had been asleep just like him. However, he was the only one so far that he had found awake. His plan was to journey to the ER, where he felt like he would find people waiting to be admitted.

It was so disturbing. The quiet was like a steel bear trap that had clasped his throat shut with anxiety. His legs would barely take him anywhere before he had to force them to keep moving.

All of a sudden, there was a strange sound. Brook stopped dead in his tracks, his eyebrows raising in fear. It was the sound of something that he had never heard in his life. Most likely, a sound that he wanted to avoid. To keep himself safe, he hurried past the room where the noise was coming from, and continued down the hall as fast as he could. Oh, if only he had not needed to come this direction! The signs on the walls indicated that the ER was this way.

Shortly afterwards, he finally reached his destination. It was dark here too? The thought bothered him deeply.

"Hello?" He tried again... only to be met with a response!

The sound of growling!

He couldn't focus too much on the growling, however. As almost unexpectedly, he could hear what sounded like approaching footsteps. In a matter of seconds, they got louder and louder. They all seemed to come from behind the main entrance double-doors of the hospital, luckily for him, they were made of glass, allowing him to see the outside of the hospital. Which seemed unusually dark, indicating it was already Night-time.

Breaking the silence-however, was a loud BANG-like noise, coming from the same door. Through the glass, a Fox was desperately knocking on the door. It might have been made of glass, but it sure as hell was as tough as metal. The fox's face was desperate, his clothing and hair messy, and a few scratches on his clothes as well.

BANG, BANG, BANG. The door echoed across the room, from his actions, the fox seemed to be wanting to escape, or rather, survive something. His relentless knocking continued until finally, he looked up, through the mirror.

his face shifting from one of desperation to one of hope as soon as he saw the young fox inside the hospital. "You, there, open the door!" He yelled, slamming his fist against the glass which, once again, withstanded the strength of the fox.

His face soon turned cold, however, as another growl could be heard, this time, it was coming from outside. His face once again becoming desperate, the fox recklessly slammed his paws agaisnt the glass door. "Please, open the door!" He said, his voice slightly breaking down on the last word.

Brook looked around, fear grasping his heart like a steel fist. He felt like his entire body had just been slammed into a wall. He gasped, losing control of his breathing. There was something there!

He had been admitted to the hospital for a condition: His arm had been severely injured in a car crash that had happened that morning. So bad that he actually had to stay at the hospital to get treatment.

But now he was looking into the face of danger! And he only had one good arm!

A coyote was standing there, staring at him. He had just appeared around the opposite corner. He looked out of touch and like something wasn't right in his head. Saliva dribbled down his face. His strained eyes were set on Brook's every movement and even the slightest flick of a tail would be noticed.

The young fox was not sure what to do. He backed up only to be met with a wall. This man was certainly insane if nothing else! And where were the workers? And the patients? This was the ER... it was always packed with people at every hour.

Then Brook took notice of another person, except this time it was a fox. Someone else was in the room, their eyes intent on the glass doors of the hospital. And then, past that glass, was yet another fox, this one beating on the doors in a fury of panic.

What would happen next?!

"Oh no...Watch out!" The fox called out for the wounded youngster. Yet, there was little to none he could do for now. Except for...Yes! Maybe it could work. He continued to bang on the doors, while he knew it was futile, the sound of his bangs would, hopefully, attract the two insane(?) people who were inside the room.

BANG! BANG! He hit the doors twice, the glass cracking slightly but still not enough to open a passage, but, they were enough to briefly distract the coyote that was insane-looking. his head slowly twisting as soon as they heard the glass crack, slowly, his eyes focused on the fox who was through the glass, he was shakign in fear as soon as their eyes met. Anxiety and panic covering his emotions as soon as the eye contact happened. In a matter of seconds, a growl was heard once again, this time, coming from the two insane furries inside the ER room.

Before Cloud could react, the coyote started to head towards the glass doors, with each step, the insane coyote stumbled, his emotionless eyes focusing on the fox's. But, he was...Smiling?

And there was a reason to, while he may be scared to his tail, he was quick to notice that the two beast-acting furries were focused on him. Shifting his eyes to the young fox, he slowly opened his mouth once again.

"Quick, hide!" He shouted out at him, the noise loud enough for it to be heard across the ER room and down the hallway. After doing so, his eyes looked around the room. Left to right, up and down, until finally, he found something, a window.

He didn't notice it earlier during his panic, but some of the doors were left open, either that or they had some-kind of damage done to it. The one he was looking at was the former. It was semi-open. Barely enough for someone to fit in but perfect to see through. He narrowed his eyes and focused on that sole place, and he found it, a semi-open window. He didn't know why it was left like that, but he suspected it was because of the panic that ensued the...insanity?

Before he could do somehting, however, he could feel the two insane furries pounding on the glass, scaring the soul out of him briefly. Fear slowly started to take over, he took a few steps back, away from the glass

Having found a way in, he tried to find a route towards the window/ But soon, something struck him. Why was he going to go inside? Sure, he could simply run away, but...His good sense didn't let him do so. A young furry was inside, and the least thing he wanted was for him to get hurt, well, more than what he already is.

Having made a desicion, he looked over through the window one last time and pointed towards the semi-open door that he was looking through, hopign the young fox would get the signal. With that done, Cloud slowly stepped away from the glass, each step bringing him a bit of relief, as being away from those...Zombies made him feel a bit safer. But he didn't have time to waste, he turned to his left side and began to walk, each step causing a bit of regret to take over, but he tried to shake it off as soon as he could and, before he knew it, he was right in front of the open window.

Taking a deep, heavy breath. Readying his heart for what he was going to take part of and gather all of his courage, he slid the window open with his paw and, after taking a quick look around the dark room to see if there was any kind of abnormal activity, which there wasn't, climbed inside, hopefully, everything will go as planned...

Brook was overwhelmed. Something had to be done fast.

His head turned towards the fox on the other side of the doors. He was yelling at him, trying to get him to hide and quick. But Brook's entire body was paralysed with terror. He was alone with two insane, zombie-like people that appeared to be intent on killing him. However, the other fox did something witty and started banging on the doors in order to distract the attention of the zombies. And it worked!

Taking advantage of the distraction, Brook began to look for a way out. He didn't have much time. But, look and look, he could see no escape. Then the other fox managed to find an open window. He slid it open and climbed inside. Brook saw his opportunity and took it, racing over to the window. For the moment, the zombies were too far away to get him.

"Hey!" He exclaimed, confused by everything going on. "Who are you?" But there was no time for introductions. The young fox shook his head. "Never mind. Let's just get out of here!"

Brook climbed through the open window and landed feet first on the pavement below. There was more growling nearby and they wouldn't be safe here for long.

"Come on! Let's go this way!" Urged the young fox. He was only twenty-one. "Hurry!"

~*~*~*~

Somewhere, hidden in the town, there was a disturbing presence. A man, for whatever selfish reason, appeared to be waiting for something special to happen. He was still in the part of town that had not yet been affected. There he stood, in the room of a hotel, looking out through his own window at the world outside.

He smiled.

Te-Ma was oblivious to the events unfolding around him. BLISSFULLY unaware. He was heading to the hospital to visit a close friend he refers to as his 'Brother' although they share no blood. When he had arrived to the hospital it was surprisingly calm. 'Only a few people were limping to their cars likely due to injuries' as he thought in place of a logical explanation. Regardless he headed inside to the receptionist desk but there was no one there...

"Hello~?"... "Hellooooo~?". No answer. He decided to head toward the ER room 22C... He saw no one at all and was met with the occasional sound of something being moved... He found this incredibly unsettling. When he got to his brothers room he was met with a barricade. After a 7 minute period of undoing the baricade he was met with an empty room and an open window... Why? Did his brother escape the hospital? "Curiouser and Curiouser"

Te-Ma then began his search for anyone in the hospital. Sneaking about considering what he was doing could get him kicked out and probably arrested...

Worst of all... He found the snacks. "Ta-macha macha macha macha macha macha" He gobbles a total of 20 energy bars in 8 minutes. Then keeps on looking but not before stuffing his pockets with 14 more.

{Since I might get arrested anyways might as well take these...}

(( OOC: no matter how much he eats he keeps the same weight for some reason.))

Once inside, Cloud waited for Brock to arrive at the room, the wait didn't last long. As soon as Brock showed up, Cloud violently threw the door closed. Safety first, they say.

"No time! Hurry and get out!" Cloud responded to Brock's question, his desperation showing through his voice. They were in danger, at any time, a zombie could show up. He stepped to the side in order to allow the young, wounded fox to climb over the window. Following it by climbing out of the hospital himself.

As soon as his shoes touched the pavement, he could hear the same growls that Brock heard, much to his own fear. Yet, while he couldn't forget the growls he heard, maybe it was his experience that kept him from panicking out and losing all sense of thought, or maybe it was all the adrenaline he was releasing due to the panic. But either way, the growls didn't stop him from making a run for safety.

Going from slow to fast in order to catch up with Brock, he took a quick looks around the place, yet, he couldn't see anything. It was night-time, obviously, which hindered his vision to the point of Brock being the only thing he could see in the darkness, aside from himself, of course.

But, he was wondering, where exactly were they going? He didn't have any idea, but he trusted that the young fox had something in mind. "Anywhere is still better than that hospital", he thought, but reality was soon going to sink in.

After a few good minutes of running, and his adrenaline going back to normal. Exhaustion began to show up on the thirty-years old fox. He certainly wasn't as athletic as he was in his twenties. He did his best to keep on the same speed as Brock, but starting with pants, his exhaustion slowly began to get the best of him.

Going from full-speed to half-speed, he could feel his lungs burning from all the running, he tried to get Brock to notice his exhaustion, but what came out was a pant of exhaustion. His legs began to feel heavy, yet he kept going, not at his max speed, but still faster than walking.

His eyes focusing on the young fox's, he could see how Brock slowly ran faster than him, but thankfully, ahead of Brock, he could see what looked like a building, yet, the darkness couldn't quite tell him what it was. But knowing that out in the darkness was way more dangerous than staying inside a building, he hoped that was the place they were going to take shelter at...

Cù Sìth hated the day time. It drew out a lot of his energy and made him tired. Still, lazy old Daddy still made sure he fulfilled his role, given his bloodline. How did he get here? Well...
In the Highlands, where superstition still was rather prevalent (though not to any obnoxious or absurd degree), kids were always messing around. A small group of boys had read online about all the myths about such a creature as the Cù Sìth. Naturally, it took no more for them to start acting out the rituals for summoning the beast, even going so far as to offer him licorice - the fastest way to get to his heart. He was perhaps fond of the company of a child just that little bit more in modern times now that they could get their hands on sweets for him. They were easy to intimidate. Naive too.

2000-and-something years of being alive was never quite as boring as one would think. It was always a good time seeing how minds grew and developed to compete with those of the "bright" world's counterparts. Cù recognised his duties, his father having warned him of something unwelcome about to disturb nature. Without any further clue, how the hell was he supposed to operate? Sure, the beast was given a date and a time but no venue! "Ugh, bloody well sick of this, like." He muttered to himself, glancing around through tired eyes at the streets around him. All four feral paws remained on the ground as his bipedal form felt just a bit more taxing. It was better to have the weight spread out, he felt. The empty streetlights overhead forced him to shudder. He knew what came from those and he knew he didn't like it. It was bad enough that in the day time his power would be limited to little more than that of a worldly mortal, but in the night too? Grrr...

The Cù Sìth grumbled to himself, opening his lips to hiss some sort of curse at the sun and streetlamps, though his large ears swiveled at the sound of distant hollering. The canine furrowed his brow, listening out closely to see if he could pinpoint it all. It seemed to be moving, and only one or two streets over. Brilliant! Maybe now he could find out what the flying buggery was going on! His head, easily the size of a small bull's, pulled the rest of his brutish body round and his four paws began to thump at the ground, carrying him and his weightless, flowing fur along with him towards this strange new point of interest. He didn't so much as bother trying to teleport at all - in the daytime that was almost slower than running.

(Here's a drawn reference for Cù Sìth, just so you know. Only difference is, which I forgot to add, is that his tail is plaited like the legends, heh. If you want more, you can find him in My Characters in my signature. He's the name in Orange.)

Unbeknownst to Te-Ma, there was trouble just right around the corner. A doctor was limping in his direction, blood smeared all over his left leg. His clothes were torn and his white coat had been slashed at the shoulder all the way down to the waist. His eyes were dull and distant, a strange foam coming from his mouth. His presence was unsettling.

Then, suddenly, the wounded doctor saw Te-Ma—Who had eaten out the vending machine! The doctor's glasses were cracked and one of the ear pieces was broken, causing his glasses to hang off his face to one side. Hope glinted in his eyes.

"You!" He said, desperately. "You there! Where did you come from? I thought everyone had already evacuated." The doctor coughed, a little blood coming up from his throat. "What... what are you doing here? There's something... something terrible happening."

However, there was not much time for talking. Someone had followed the doctor down the hall. Someone who was still in hiding.

~*~*~*~

Brook began to tire out, hearing that his new companion was out of breath as well. The young fox slowed down, turning around to check on the yellow fox.

"Are you okay?" He asked, concerned. "My name is Brook. I was a patient at the hospital."

Brook looked around in the dark. The street lamps were on, but he didn't seen any cars or people about. How... strange. There was always something going on usually. What in the hell was happening to his precious home town? Who were these strange zombies and why had they appeared? And, most importantly, where was everyone?

"We haven't met before. I live here in Dayton." Explained the young man. "I know this place like the back of my hand. The hospital is close to the community centre. We should be safe there. It's not too far away."

Brook gestured for the other fox to follow. "We'll walk from here on out. It's too far to keep running."

~*~*~*~

The strange man from earlier had finally decided to leave the hotel. It was the doctor who had stayed behind. He was carrying his briefcase, walking along the side walk. What his motives were, no one knew but himself.

While it was dark outside, there were still some people and cars about. Still, it was difficult to blend in when you were wearing a bright, white coat. A few people noticed him before continuing on walking or driving. He was an unusual sight to behold. Doctors normally only wore their medical attire when they were on duty.

As soon as his partner came to a stop, so did the older fox. Contracting his knees lightly and placing his hands on them, he took a few breaths while leaning forward, trying to regain his lost oxygen, or at least, most of it.

"Y-Yeah, I'm...Fine." Cloud replied to Brook's question, taking a break in-between his words to take a deep breath. "Brook, huh? I can see that you were a patient..." He said, his eyes focused on the young fox's body, more specifically, on his wounded arm. Before he could examine it further, Brook's mouth opened once again, this time, something that was more than obvious.

"Yeah, I know. I guess I should present myself." The older fox said, taking a slightly up-right stance after recovering some of his energy, well, at least a bit of it. "My name's Cloud. Good to know that you live here, knowing the place can do wonders in a situation like this." He replied, a bit of relief in his voice.

Being honest, he didn't even know the hospital was there, or that it was still operating. But when he saw Brook just a few minutes ago, he knew he had to do something. Although most of it was done by instinct, rather than by thinking.

"The community centre?" He asked, slightly confused by the suggestion, only to realize a few seconds later about the danger of the place. "That's probably the second most-crowded place." He exclaimed, in his mind, most-crowded places were often the most dangerous ones. And danger is something he would rather avoid.

When Brook gestured for him to continue walking, Cloud simply stood there, a paw by his chin and his head tilted up as a result, lost in thought for a second. They needed a back-up plan in case something went wrong, and then he remember. "Yes!" He exclaimed, out of the blue and with excitement in his voice. Reaching one paw down his left pocket, he pulled out the slightly worn-out map he had of the city hours ago.

Once it was in his paws, he quickly opened it, to his relief, it was still read-able, despite how worn-out it was. While it was a bit hard for his aged eyes to see, the street lamps made it easier for him to read the contents of the chest-long map. "Haha! I knew I had this somewhere." He said, a wide smile across his face. "Now, let's see..." He muttered, moving his finger across the map, pointing at the hospital Community centre first.

"...Dang, you were right. It IS the closest place." He said, sighing in defeat. Not only that, but due to it being night-time, it would be suicidal to head out somewhere further. Even though there were a few more places, such as a Hotel, a restaurant, and even a church. They all were far-away from the hospital. Not only that, but the residential spots also blocked the way, and, according to the map, forcing them to re-route around the houses, something that, like he previously thought, would be suicidal if done right now.

With no other plans coming to mind, the 30 years old fox folded the map, square-by-square, before extending his paw with the map down to his pocket and placing it as careful as he could, and by that he meant by shoving it right into his pocket. "...Seems like we got no other choice." He said, unconfident about Brook's plan to go to the Community Centre.

"You sound like you think we should devise a better plan." Brook, however, was unsure of what was a better plan. "Let me think." The young fox took a moment to himself. "If we stay out here in the streets, we're very noticeable. Anyone could just walk up to us, crazy or not..." He paused, rubbing his chin. "Perhaps the community centre is not quite the best place. You're right. It might be very crowded. Or it could have been evacuated like the hospital appears to have been."

He looked around, trying to keep an eye out for danger. He didn't see anything—Or hear anything either. They seemed to be safe for the time being.

"My house is on the other side of town, so we can't go there." Brook thought out loud. He was trying to keep his panic from growing. "What about the mall? It's near the community centre. It's closed right now and no one will be there. We can also get food and any supplies we might need. Afterall, I don't think we'll find that things in this part of town are much different than at the hospital. If it's totally shut down, then the whole town is likely to have been shut down as well. Hospitals just don't close."

Brook made a sound of pain and twisted his bad arm, trying to loosen it up. It was tense and burning from the car accident. He winced.

"It's a shame. My arm is so badly wounded, I don't think I can do much with it. It was already hard just climbing out of that window." The young fox gave his arm a hopeless look. "How about this: We'll go to the community centre, cut through the facility, and exit on the other side. That way, on our journey to the mall, we'll at least be off the streets. There might be trouble there, but being outside is probably far more dangerous than taking shelter." Brook had decided to go on. "Let's get out of here before that growling catches up with us."

Brook began to walk towards the community centre. It was their only hope.
