Daichi watched with no small amount of appreciation for the entity Jessica had summoned. When the beast in the air finally fell, Daichi moved toward the crater that marked it's landing. He moved with some haste, but did not rush. His movements were still careful, and defensive as he was unsure of the thing's full capabilities.
Lucafell was astonished by the transformation between the Abyss and the real world. "What was that?"
"An abyss. It wasn't fully one, though. Must already be trying to intersect worlds."
"Well, thanks for nothin." She told the dragon. "Goodbye, and may we never meet again." She said before stepping off, heading in the general direction of the inn they were staying at. She wanted to check on Scarla, hopefully nothing had happened to the inn, or the people taking refuge inside.
Daichi made a slow turn, taking in the details as he went. He eventually settled his attention on Maxwell, and shrugged. "It seems normalcy has returned." He stated evenly before leaning on his staff, and waiting to see what Maxwell planned to do next.
Maxwell stood up and sheathed his sword. His companions were more competent than he had ever thought. He walked towards them and said something he hadn't said in a long time. "Thanks." While it may have been a small word, it was one he meant. His plan wasn't to stay with Jessica or Daichi. In fact, he planned to get back to the tavern, grab his gear, and go wherever his orb would take him. That's where she would be.
Lucafell gave a small sigh, "You clearly handled the situation ideally." He thought to himself, I should follow Maxwell when he leave. Be easier to talk to him without his little posse. The group began walking back to the Tavern.
Daichi gave a simple nod of respect, and set off to follow behind Maxwell as they headed to the tavern.
"Oh, I wonder if that first...thing..we killed was the demon that had been terrorizing the town. She wondered to herself as they walked. "Not that it would be easy to recognize at this point." She continued. Her crystalline behemoth continued to thump along just behind her till she realized it was drawing stares. "Heh...I guess it may be best to keep strange creatures to a minimum for the time being." She muttered mostly to herself just before she dismissed the summoned entity.
Once they reached the tavern, Jessica immediately looked around for Scarla.
