(Well, gave Rex 2 weeks, I think that's well enough time. Though it feels like this has come to an end anyways. Emo siblings are restless here now.)

The four siblings hovered close to each other, their eyes ranging from glaring accusingly at Alonzo, to glaring at Vergil.

Killing, killing, killing...It's all they ever do.... Adhar whimpered as she clung to her siblings, not really knowing what to do, or even who to trust. All their lives they have been running, just not wanting to deal with other furs, not able to trust other furs. No one has ever shown that they could be trusted.

We should just bury them here and be done with it, then there'd be no more problems. Came Teine's forceful voice in their heads as he stared into his fire, making it slowly grow bigger, the ends almost licking Vergil's fur. He fists balled and relaxed as his muscles strained to keep him from reacting, to keep him from attacking. He could feel his body heat rise as he watched the sleeping body, dark thoughts clouding his mind.

Brother...Hush...They have done nothing wrong...If we just go about killing mercilessly, then we're no better than them. Uisge's logical voice rose above Teine's thoughts as she rested her head against her brother's arm, skin touching skin so she could quickly react to him if he did anything rash. She peeked up at him with a smirk on her face. Unless you prefer to be a wet and frozen dog...

All this time, Talamh remained silent throughout the entire exchange, thoughts running around in his mind. He sighed as he watched the two strangers, also not trusting them one little bit, yet they have done nothing to trigger harm from the siblings. Perhaps it's time to do what I should've done to begin with. Lets just make our own cave. Turning around, he placed a paw against the wall, and loud rumblings could be heard as part of the wall crumbled into a door, revealing a passageway leading away from the current cave. Lets go, I don't trust them enough to even sleep in the same room as them. And with that, he motioned his siblings to go through the doorway.

(I hope you don't mind me coming in like this, but I'm trying to give one of my lesser-used characters an airing.)

Unbeknownst to the furs in the cave, the blizzard had begun to move on. In point of fact, it's movement wasn't due to normal weather patterns. A certain dragon had decided that the blizzard was needed somewhere else.

Zechariah Vesperocci, Dragon of the West and UU Octariat Council member, had been in the arctic in order to sort out a particularly astringent diplomatic mess that threatened to go on forever. In the meantime, he'd received word from one of his top students that the necromancers that had been uncovered in Edwin did not operate well in cold weather, so Zechariah sent what help he could.

The Dragon was an absolute master of the winds, which gave him control over the weather. It required a lot of work, all the same, to move a blizzard from the Arctic to Edwin, and so he had worked through most of the day, drawing a magical barrier around the storm. Late in the night, he had finished bounding the storm, and sent it on it's way. He just hoped that his timing was right and that his journeyman would be assisted.

At the moment, he was in his "legendary" form, looking more like a beast than a fur. 65 feet from nose to tail, with scales either jet black or snow white in color, when he lay on the mountains, he looked like just another rock feature. Right below him, the four siblings debated what to do.

When Talamh created the new passage, the magical vibrations awoke the dragon. *What is that?* The draconic wizard closed his eyes, and let his magical senses feel. *Hmm, one for each of the four elements... and perhaps for each of the tribes- now why did I think that?* He could sense that there were four elementals under him, but there was something else about them that he couldn't receive clearly that piqued his curiosity. Above the hills, he followed the path the siblings made underneath.

rolls over as he opens his eyes watching Talamh make the new passage way. 'Hmm not what I expected but they didn't attack me either, I guess I can trust them enough to lead them to my home.' he looks at the four and the untouched bag of food, he sighs. "not even going to eat my friends? At least take the bed rolls, I've got use for them anymore." He says the last of it rather sadly as he turns away from them and closes his eyes again. 'it's going to be a long night.'

(Yay Racken! *pounce glomps* >.< You and your wizards :P )

Talamh panted a little in effort as he made another chamber at the other end of the passageway. He motioned for his siblings to walk through the passageway, and he paused, looking back at Vergil. "No thank you. We prefer not to be an anyone's debts. Food, we can easily make or find for ourselves." He lingered a little longer as he watched the other roll over, before sighing and walking through the doorway. Pausing on the other side, he created a thin dirt wall, covering the doorway he had made, sealing their chamber off. Though the wall was thin enough for any fur to use some effort to kick through, but it would be enough of a warning for them if someone wished them harm. Once the door was closed, he leaned against the wall and sighed. For a minute there, he felt something was above them, something heavy, but quickly dismissed it as a large bolder. Talamh yawned as he stepped towards the chamber he had created to join his siblings.

Teine and Uisge were the first to enter the new chamber, and they both sigh in relief, happy that they are no longer in the same room as strangers.

Uisge and Adhar went and sat against a wall as Teine waited for Talamh. The two sisters sitting close and Adhar's head rested in her sister's lap. A large yawn escapes as her ivory wings wrap around her body, forming a nice blanket. Uisge also begins to dose off as she rests her head against the wall, finding it quite the tiring and bothersome day.

As Talamh entered the chamber, Teine walked over to his brother. Should get a fire going here too, before the cold sets in. And so, the two brothers worked together as before, and quickly enough, a nice sized campfire was going, quickly warming up their private chamber.

Each brother moved to sit on either side of their sisters, Teine beside Uisge, and Talamh beside Adhar. Soon, all four of them fall quietly to sleep, much more relaxed and calm than before, now that they were on their own once more, oblivious to the watchful being directly above them.

(Vergil...Don't mind them k? This is just how they are)

Laughs slightly when Talamh spoke of debts. " I would never say you were in my debt for something so small as a bag of food, I'm being nice to you five though, under normal circumstances. I would have thought you theives trying to steal from my supplies heh, but I know that's not the case now. And I need a way to thank you for um well not throwing me back out into the cold to bleed to death." smiles weakly at the last part as he felt that he might have insulted his company with his words. 'Even if you don't trust me, I know I can trust you all heh.' he thinks as he lays back down and falls asleep.

Zechariah had reached the chimney hole of the cave, which was a long and tortuous passage of rock, and managed to catch the conversation inside. *Hmm, so there are six in all underneath, brought together by chance. One group, the four I sensed, do not trust others well. This could make things tricky.*
After some careful thought, he decided a dream-link would be the best way to proceed. It would allow him to get a feel for their minds without spooking them away. The dragon relaxed, and let his mind expand to just barely touch the four in the cave. Finding Adhar to be most in tune with his element, he sent a preliminary message. *Can you sense me, little one?* He tried to project emotions of calmness and safety with the message, in order to have her be more receptive to it.

The four siblings doze off into a relatively peaceful sleep, after a long and stressful day. The entire process turned out to be much more eventful than they had initially planned, and having fought with the cold all day, and the stress of being stuck with strangers, their bodies and minds were exhausted. And so they slept, the campfire providing them enough warmth as it flickers, sending shadows of the siblings floating along the walls.

Adhar slept, completely unhindered by the dark thoughts that cloud her siblings' minds, a smile playing upon her face as she dreamed. Snuggled close to her siblings, her mind wandered into the land of dreams. A land filled with flowers spread across gentle rolling hills of green. Tall trees providing cool shade as a warm summers breeze flows through the land, making everything dance in the wind.

And in the center of it all, Adhar pranced through her safe haven, her arms spread to catch the wind as her wings fluttered and flowed behind her. As she laughed and spread her wings wide, her eyes closed as the wind wrapped around her. Though quite suddenly a strange voice made her stop, hovering in the air as she looked around. "Wh.....Who's there?" A spike of fear coursed through her, but the sound of the voice sent soothing vibrations through her and she calmed, merely floating in the air as she looked around, hoping to find the one who spoke to her.

Zechariah smiled as he felt the girl respond. She seemed to not be as afraid as the others, another plus. *I am many things, and many names to many peoples. You may call me Zechariah.* He inserted a visual image of himself in her dream, in his "normal" form.
He appeared flying beside her, as an old black-and-white dragon fur, with robes specially cut to allow flight. He flew with an elegant grace, maximizing the lift from every wing flap. "I should like you to think of me as a friend in a high place. I don't like seeing young dragon-kin so lonely. You have come so far with your siblings, trying to escape the various designs on your life..." A hint of anger drifted through, not at Adhar, but at those that would harm her and her siblings. "I confess that I do not know your name. What is it?"[/b]

Still hovering in the air within her dream world, Adhar gave a tiny shriek as she flew and hide within the leaves of a tree, using the dense greens to shield her from view of the other. Though peeking out from her hiding place, she observed him carefully. Her siblings had always warned her against talking to strangers, to never trust them, but that was never truly her nature. In fact, she had always wanted to be friends with others…No matter how much they try to hurt her, to try and kill her.

Dark clouds appeared in the sky as her thoughts went back to their early years, and bits and pieces of memories floated through the air, where the old dragon could very well see all that has happened to the siblings, starting from the moment they were stolen from their real families as pure wolf pups. And then following their transformations, and the destruction of the town where they were sacrificed.

But as quickly as the clouds came, they disappeared just as quickly as the word ‘friend’ drifted to her ears. She perked as she peeked out a little more, her head tilting to the side. “Friend?â€

Zechariah could feel Adhar's fear warring with her gregariousness, and the memories he could sense told him why there was so much pain and fear in the hearts of the siblings. He'd heard rumors of what had happened, but Edwin was largely outside his sphere of influence, and thus he could do nothing about it. This time, however, was different.
"No, child. I have no desire to see you or your siblings to come to harm. If you wish it, we may be friends." He extended his hand to her. "I should like to meet your sister and brothers, too. From what you have showed me, you all could use a friend."

Adhar’s lips formed a bit of a pout as she contemplated, not quite knowing what to do, and yet was completely delighted in having found a friend. As she reached her paw out towards Zechariah, she hesitated once more, as she wondered what her siblings would think about this if they found out. They’d be furious with her if they knew she went off talking to strangers again. But looking at the old dragon, she shook the thoughts out of her head as she took his hand in hers. “It…Would be nice…â€

Vergil jumps to his feet after hearing yelling but winces in pain and drops to his knee. "What's going on now? What happened?" he gets up much slower and move to get his bow and arrows. "Damn this day." He limps over to the dirt wall and punches a hole in it so he can see inside. "It's just me, is everything alright in there?"

Zechariah smiled, and it was a genuine smile too which was rare, when Adhar took his hand. The moment was suddenly interrupted when the other siblings came in and forced wakefulness upon them. The mental link, however, lasted long enough for the dragon to catch the gist of their thoughts. He also caught Teine's words.
"Very well, if you insist. I must warn you, though, there are three very good reasons I tried a dream link first." Zechariah, being a Master of the Winds, could project his voice pretty much anywhere, including inside the cave. "First, you needed sleep, and it would have been selfish of me to wake you. Second, coming would have meant letting in the cold, not something you'd appreciate, and not what would have engendered trust. Thirdly-" What could only be described as the world's most organized cave in happened some distance from the siblings. Sand had been steadily dropping from a gap in the roof, and then several large blocks of stone fell in a rough stack to form a hole to the outside, through which Zechariah, still in "legendary" form, stuck his head.
"Thirdly, I fear my sudden appearance, especially as I am now in this form, would have scared you away. I apologize if my former greeting, or for that matter this present one, is distasteful to you in any way. What would I have to do to prove that I hold you no ill-intention?"

The four were much too preoccupied with the stranger’s voice than to notice Vergil’s shouting, as the stranger seemed to be the bigger threat at the moment. Huddled together, with Adhar in the center, the other three were completely alert and prepared with renewed energy from the brief sleep. Adhar continued to argue with her siblings though, dead set on the fact that Zechariah was a friend and was not there to hurt them. However, all four of them jumped a little when the huge head came through the hole in the wall, and for a few moments, they all stood speechless as their eyes lingered upon the large dragon’s head.

Talamh was the first to recover from the shock and he stepped forward a little, mistrust still evident within his eyes. “Why go after Adhar? It’s obvious that she’s the most trusting, so the fact that you went after her makes you seem all the more suspicious in our eyes.â€

Zechariah did notice the wolf come in behind them, and shot him a quick look that he hoped would quiet him while the dragon got down to the business of diplomacy. His family had a natural aptitude for the art, and Zechariah suspected he'd need those skills.
"I contacted Adhar because she, like myself, if of the wind element. It is much easier to establish a dream-link over identical energy currents. The fact that she was the most trusting I was not aware of; it was chance. 1:4 odds aren't all that unlikely, you know.
"As for why I am here..." Zech blew out a thoughtful breath. "That is a long story. I in fact have many reasons. I am here in the Arctic helping mediate a dispute between the leader of the local dragon tribe and the King. It is not progressing quickly, I am afraid. I am here at this spot because, as a master of winds, I can affect the weather to a large degree, and the blizzard that was here was needed elsewhere. You'll notice it was gone now. I laid down here to rest when I sensed great elemental power here, which made me curious. I decided to try to contact you. The rest you know." He looked at them all again. "You again may have my assurance I have no desire to harm any of you. I would only do so if you presented a serious threat to me or my adopted clan. I think you understand that."
